We sell yearly licences for all themes and plugins that we offer on our marketplace (excluding block components). Licences enable consumers to be able to verify their purchases and receive updates from the Gutenberg Market repository. Licences are managed solely within our system and cannot be given or updated by authors or anyone else other than us.
We control the right to suspend or completely terminate a licence at any time if we suspect that anything from within our terms & conditions or policies have been disregarded or breached.
When consumers purchase an item on Gutenberg Market, they are not actually buying the product, they are buying a yearly licence which allows them to use that product until the licence expires. This licence is what enables buyers to be able to access support and receive updates for that product. Once a licence expires, the buyer will need to purchase a new licence from Gutenberg Market. Any licences purchased using the buyers original Gutenberg Market account, will show up in their Gutenberg Market plugin dashboard, assuming they have already generated an Auth Token. If not, they can log into their account and follow these instructions to activate their licence(s).
